The trust question...
It is perfectly normal to have questions in your mind, particularly when your practice's most important data sits in Callendoc. We have all become so used to downloading programmes onto our own computers that the cloud can sound too good to be true. Security and privacy questions naturally follow. Is my information safe? Is it private?
At callendoc.com all of your data is stored to the highest security standards and backed up daily. Your data is held in ISO 27001-certified data centres, and we use current software security technologies to protect it.
For more detail on how we handle this, take a look at our Data Security page.
We treat data privacy with exactly the same care as data security. We do not share your data with any organisation, institution or individual. The Callendoc team has no access to user passwords or to the data you enter into the application. Our technical team can only reach your account through an access permission that you switch on and off from inside your own account, and only in order to support you. In other words, you can be comfortable about both the security and the privacy of your data in Callendoc.
In fact we all use cloud technology constantly in daily life. Google Drive, Gmail, Dropbox and social platforms are part of everyday life for most of us. The cloud is far more woven into our lives than we tend to realise.
The cloud-based features of Callendoc practice and patient management software:
-
Above all, cloud solutions save you time and money. Cloud technology lets you buy exactly as much service as you need. On top of that, you do not have to invest in any hardware. Not needing long, difficult technical setup work is one of the biggest advantages of all.
-
You can see how your practice is doing from anywhere with an internet connection, on any device. It is fair to say you now carry your practice with you. Even when you are away from the building, you can run your business from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
-
Cloud technology also puts an end to the worry of "what happens to my data if something happens to my computer?" Your data is stored securely. With the cloud your data is safer than it has ever been. Even if your computer fails, your data is exactly where you left it, safe.
-
Updating the application is not something you need to think about. Most importantly, you are not charged extra for it. As the application develops in the cloud, you carry on enjoying the benefits.
- Thanks to straightforward screens and clear design, you can start using it without needing training.
As you can see, the advantages of the cloud are hard to list in full. If you would like, take a look at our piece on downloading clinic software versus using Callendoc as SaaS.
